Patriots Day (the third Monday in April) is a great time of year to visit Boston. This is when they reenact the first battles of the Revolutionary War.
Today we went to a battle reenactment in Lexington right off of Mass Ave. It's a battle not to miss. It's the third Saturday in April at 2:00pm every year. It was full of the Fife and Drum, horses, Generals shouting orders, cannons and guns firing, soldiers attacking, ambushes, people dying you name it, it was there.
The battle was about an hour and was worth every minute.
The next battle worth seeing was the first battle in the Revolutionary War. This battle will begin at the Lexington Battle Green (Lexington Center) at 5:30AM. I would be there by 4:30AM to get a good spot.
