Boston Massacre Reenactment

Boston Massacre Reenactment
Saturday, March 2
at the Old State House in Boston

They are reenacting the massacre at a few different showings.

2 showings during the day
11:00am and 2:00pm
These are geared towards a younger audience (I highly recommend you take your kids, they learn a lot!). Young volunteers are taken from the audience. The kids are divided into two groups the red coats and the common people of the city.
The Red coat actors get to put on the coats and hats and are given guns (pretend guns of course). They are taught by a solider how to be a solider and are taught how to reenact the scene.
The common people are taught why they are so frustrated and how the massacre came about. They are also taught how to reenact the situation.
Then they act it out and the kids generally love it.
The reenactment lasts about 20 minutes.
Afterwards if you choose, you can go into the state house (for a cost) and watch the trial that happens. I haven't ever done that so I don't know if it's worth it.

Final showing
7:00pm
The actual reenactment performed by adults.
